My best friend is currently in late stage alcoholism - along with the other mental issues from childhoood traumas - his life is spinning out of control. He knows it - but can't wake up. As is God's work, I see it clearly and I see the role I played (enabler three years running) I spoke out this time and from here what happens happens. I care for him enough to throw down the ultimate truth - if you want help, I will help you - if you continue on this slow suicide path - I can't and won't help you. Loving someone in such dire condition is tough but faith in God and faith in general is a requirement to cope. Confronting him and letting him go is rough - but if he can't wake up, he will die soon. He's 45 years old, intelligent, kind-hearted - the demon has a firm grip on him - my prayer is God will intervene - He did for me over 15 years ago. I agree service to others is healing.<br />Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08678454822143919789noreply@blogger.com
